On the 25th
January we had a fun day at the fire station.
It took us 15 minutes to walk there.
When we got there we were kindly greeted by the fire fighters. They showed us all their equipment they wear such as their fire proof suits and their harnesses they use for getting up and down buildings. They then went onto giving us an informative tour of the fire station.
They first showed us round their big fire engine. They showed us the hose and explained how it worked. They then showed us inside of the fire engine and even let us go inside of it.
The fire fighters then climbed up a really high ladder that went to the height of the 3rd floor. They then showed us them skillfully abseiling down to the ground.
We lastly gave them a gift that we made in art and took a picture with them. It was a really fun and informative day with the fire fighters and we are really glad we had the opportunity to go.

ＹＭＣＡグローバルキンダーガーテンでは、１月２５日（木）に消防署見学に出かけました。園から消防署まで歩いて１５分程の道のりです。
消防署に到着すると親切な消防士さん達がにこやかに出迎えてくれました。防火服や建物を昇り降りするときに着用するハーネスを等の道具や消防署の中を見せてもらいました。
大きな消防車の説明をしてもらったり、実際に乗らせてもらったりもしました。
その次に、約８メートルの高さからのロープ降下を見せてくれました。
最後に、皆で作った消防士さんたちへの感謝の絵をお渡しして、一緒に写真を撮らせてもらいました。消防士さん達のお仕事を知ることが出来る貴重な一日となりました。
消防士さん達、いつも皆の安全を守ってくださりありがとうございます！
